Extreme Motocross
Motocross: The World's Most Popular Form of Motorcycle Racing!
Motocross is widely regarded as the world's most popular type of motorcycle racing. The term "motocross" is derived from a French term that blends motorcycling with cross-country.
Motocross tracks typically consist of hills, dirt roads, and muddy turns. The size of these courses allows up to forty riders to compete simultaneously.
Pro motocross races are measured by time. A professional race usually lasts for half an hour. After this period, once the leader crosses the finish line, they are given a signal indicating two laps remain. On the next lap, they receive a signal for one lap to go, and the race concludes at the end of that lap. This format is known as "half-hour plus two laps."
Other motocross races are determined entirely by laps, where the first rider to complete a predetermined number of laps wins. The first three riders to finish are known as podium riders and secure first to third positions.
